WHAT
ABOUT THE TAX CREDIT?
If you
are a first time buyer or have not owned a property within
the last 3 years you may qualify for an $8,000 tax
credit.
If you
are a current home owner and have lived in your home for the
past 5 years you may qualify for a $6,500 tax credit.
To
qualify you must buy a home (or have a binding contract to
buy) by April 30, 2010 and the home must close by June 30,
2010.
With

How
does this work with a new home?
Depending
on how fast you start determines if your home will be done
on time. However, builders carry a large inventory of nearly
complete homes called spec homes. These homes are often only
30 days from being ready to close. There are plenty of new
homes already in the works that can close within the June
30th cut off date. The builders are already beefing up their
inventories in expectation of this deadline. These homes can
still give you the option to choose your colors and custom
look.
